However, I think that courts are becoming more sophisticated in their appreciation that children are different.In the cases of T v the United Kingdom and V v UK—which involved the two English boys who were accused of the murder of James Bulger—when the European Court of Justice examined the criminal processes it was not convinced that T and V appreciated that process.
