UK Parliament Legislation During the parliamentary year, the Committee considered and reported on one Legislative Consent Motion (LCM) on the Direct Payments to Farmers (Legislative Continuity) Bill which was introduced to the House of Commons on 9 January 2020. The Bill was intended to convert the EU legislation governing the 2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) direct payment schemes into domestic law, therefore providing a UK wide legal basis for the direct payment schemes to continue in the 2020 claim year.
