Children Withdrawal from RE and Amendment of UNCRC Compatibility Duty 21 October 2025

Drafting of Part 1 I understand that a number of concerns were raised with the Committee in relation to Part 1 of the Bill being outwith the scope of the compatibility duty in the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024. Scottish Ministers, special advisers and the Permanent Secretary are covered by the terms of the Lobbying (Scotland) Act 2016.
