Other witnesses suggested that the funding for proposed new bodies would be much better spent on the delivery of services, including Alzheimer Scotland, who argued that this spend “could otherwise be directed to facilitate the direct provision of the types of services and support that people could benefit from to improve their experiences”.
They suggest sub-paragraph 6(1) could technically be very broad in scope, and more generally posted the question of whether support for general rural business should be provided through agricultural funding, or through other business support through e.g. enterprise networks.
