We will consider these proposals and other candidate projects in the Strategic Rail Authority’s enhancement programme following the transfer of responsibilities to the Scottish Executive proposed in the Railways Bill, currently before the UK Parliament.
Other authorities interested in this approach, and their professional advisers, have been kept fully appraised of developments during the pilot, and a broader-based exposition of the pilot will be offered to interested public authorities and the market following contract close later this year.
The SPS have produced Return to Custody Research Bulletins basedon a two-year follow up of offenders released from prison in particular years.The reports do not examine establishment of release, but most of the figuresrelating to females given in these reports will be for women released fromCornton Vale.
