Her response is as follows: In compliance with the deadline set out in Section 22 of the Public Finance and Accountability (Scotland) Act, SPS will publish their annual report and accounts for 2022-23 in December 2023.

In response, the Cabinet Secretary said that the ability to lay regulations under the made affirmative procedure was "...vital in a scenario where regulations need to be made urgently."
She will be aware that, as councils are independently accountable bodies and employers, it is their duty to ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
