Other than set up, the Scottish Government is not responsible for funding the commission. Questions about budget and running costs should therefore be addressed to the SLCC.

Under the concordat between the Scottish Government and COSLA, this government is investing record levels of funding in local government and provides local authorities with the opportunity to determine where resources should be allocated including how much to spend on maintaining core paths.
Of this, £330,000 has been allocated to Quality Meat Scotland to fund a strategic review of the pig sector and a project aimed at adding value to the carcases of cattle, sheep and pigs.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether any finance raised by local authority bonds will be additional to any finance raised under the local authority prudential borrowing code or would displace other funds that could have been raised under the code but by means other than the issuing of bonds.
