The views of parents lie at the heart of the strategy, which aims to champion the importance of Scotland’s parents, highlight the positive difference that they can make and strengthen the help and support that are on offer to them.We have already announced funding of £18 million from the early years change fund to help local authorities work with partners to provide access to high-quality, co-ordinated family support. Linked to that is the family nurse partnership, an early intervention programme that provides support to first-time teenage mothers and is making a valuable difference for vulnerable children in six health board areas.
