We have significantly reduced their debt burden by removing the graduate endowment fee; we have increased support for part-time learners; and we have continued the young students bursary, disabled students allowance and lone parents grants.We would encourage any students who are in financial hardship to talk to their university or college to see whether they may be eligible for discretionary funds. Other young people who are struggling with rent and living costs should talk to their local authority to find out whether they are eligible for housing benefit and council tax benefit.
