In addition to promoting the codes, the commission receives reports from the Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland following his investigation into alleged breaches of the codes.
It is thankfully an easier job to fill out the state one once you have filled out the federal one, because the federal tax code is much more elaborate than the state tax codes—the state tax codes tend to be simplified versions of the federal one.

Those employees who had been assimilated to Agenda for Change were mapped back as far as possible to the coding used under Whitley to allow for consistency in trend data, this was not possible for the requested staff groups.

The Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS) voluntarily complied with the code by publishing, in 2004, a statement of intent on police use of firearms and less lethal weapons.
The Code is available at www.outdooraccess-scotland.com Scottish Natural Heritage has also produced a leaflet and run events promoting the advice to dog owners.

Information Services Division Scotland (ISD) recently carried out an in-depth review of their core alcohol-related code set and as a result the codes for alcohol poisoning have been changed.
