There is a huge unmet demand that will not be met by the current funding for affordable housing. We will have a gap of 7,500 houses over the next decade.
However, we recognise that we are inextricably linked with the Scottish Parliament on funding and policy development and we try our best to implement Executive policies.
I do not want to play any political games with it, because I want to ensure that we develop the robust system of regulation that everybody expects that we will be able to develop.
