I have also offered to meet the chair and the other panel members.In addition tothis I have recently agreed to the publication of a code of practice onTreasure Trove which is intended to act as an advisory notice setting outguidance and best practice in relation to Scots common law as applied toportable antiquities.The code will bepublished and widely distributed shortly.

The factors that they take into account are well known and are set out in the prosecution code. Therefore, I must disagree with any proposition that someone who commits such assaults requires a criminal prosecution.
