As this report has made clear, an expanded National Grid is a public good, and a necessary one, in response to the climate crisis. There is an urgent need for a national conversation, led by the Scottish Government, on what this change will mean: for Scotland as a whole and for different regions of Scotland.
Substantial parts of it will be funded from elsewhere. What further action can the Scottish Government take to inspire other nations and Governments to move ahead on climate justice?
We previously considered the petition on 20 September 2023, when we agreed to write to the Scottish Government, the Scottish Refugee Council and the Refugee Survival Trust.

That leads me on to the importance of climate change. The gardening and horticultural sector is essential in fulfilling the Scottish Government’s environment plan and the wider ambitions around climate change.
