(S3O-12008) Chartered town planners, including those who hold membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute, are required to act with the impartiality that is demanded by their professional code of conduct. Town planners who are civil servants also observe the high standards of impartiality that are required by the civil service code.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether the review of the Scottish Ministerial Code has been undertaken independently of the civil service and ministers.
The latest submission from the Scottish Government states that it is“happy that the Committee takes forward research on adherence to the code”.Perhaps Fergus Cochrane can remind us whether any research has been done on the extent to which the code is being adhered to.
The standards commissioner concluded that the complaint fell to be considered under paragraphs 9.1.2 and 9.1.4 of the code of conduct for members of the Scottish Parliament.

The GP patient access survey asked about patient experience of both 48 hour access and advance access. The answers were coded into yes and no responses using a coding scheme agreed amongst survey stakeholders.

In addition, it should be noted that severalchanges were made to the STATS 19 specification with effect from the start of 1999,including the introduction of the code which is used to identify drivers or riderswho are non-UK residents.
I am looking at the time and I am anxious that we deal today with agenda item 5, which we need to consider precisely and formally, so I propose that we consider the code of conduct at our next meeting. Is everyone content with that?
The restrictions that I propose will complement the voluntary arrangements of self-policing by the industry-funded Portman Group. The Portman Group has a code, but that does not apply to wholesalers or to retail-led promotional activities.
