Recommendations • Strengthening JTF administration o Improve transparency in funding priorities and decisions. o Ensure that JTF priorities better align with regional plans. o Introduce rolling or multi-year funding cycles. o Provide structured pre- and post-award engagement to ensure clarity in reporting expectations. o Streamline grant processing to ensure timely disbursement. o Consider hybrid funding models. • Expanding community and social engagement o Develop a structured participation framework to ensure grassroots perspectives inform funding decisions. o Increase investment in social enterprises • Supporting workforce transition and skills development o Strengthen pathways between training programmes and employment opportunities o Expand financial incentives for businesses hiring transitioning workers o Provide long-term funding for skills development programmes in renewable energy and sustainability sectors. • Advancing environmental and economic diversification o Continue investment in renewable energy innovation o Expand support for non-energy sectors o Develop structured metrics for tracking long-term economic and environmental impact.
