Going forward the Census budget for 2023/24 and 2024/25 is significantly less than prior years, as we move to the next stages in the lifecycle of the Census Programme. As part of the Resource Spending Review the Census Programme has been allocated £3.1m and £1.4m respectively, which is in line with the requirements set out in the 2019 programme re- plan and will be used to fund the resource requirement of the Programme through the Outputs stages to conclusion of the 2022 Census Programme.
