The idea is that the country would be entirely compliant with the code and allow the ECB oversight of its banks, despite the fact that it does not use the euro as its currency.
The latest submission from the Scottish Government states that it is“happy that the Committee takes forward research on adherence to the code”.Perhaps Fergus Cochrane can remind us whether any research has been done on the extent to which the code is being adhered to.
The standards commissioner concluded that the complaint fell to be considered under paragraphs 9.1.2 and 9.1.4 of the code of conduct for members of the Scottish Parliament.
