To ask the Scottish Executive what the total value is of financial savings which have been made across Scotland following the recent local government financial settlement.
A question-and-answer session ensues after each interpellation is answered by a minister, and a debate follows that. That continues until all requests for statements have been met, whether there are 20 or two.
I would prefer it if the committee did not submit a further amendment and if Elaine's suggestion of members signing up individually to the amendment if they support it were followed. I agree with what Cathy Jamieson says.
