We are also consulting on a licensing scheme for dealers in non-domestic knives, which will help to prevent those deadly weapons falling into the wrong hands.In the meantime, we continue to support tough enforcement by the police, with effective and co-ordinated action resulting in more than 2,000 knives being taken off the streets since May 2007.
