In closing the petition, the committee clerks have been in contact with the petitioner to offer the opportunity to submit written evidence to the Police (Ethics, Conduct and Scrutiny) Scotland Bill.
Community bodies will already have had opportunities to buy the land under existing right to buy legislation and this is simply a last resort provision.
