Report on referendum 29 Report on the conduct of the referendum (1) As soon as practicable after the referendum, the Electoral Commission must prepare and 15 lay before the Scottish Parliament a report on the conduct of the referendum. (2) The report must include a summary of— (a) how the Commission have carried out their functions under this Act, (b) the expenditure incurred by the Commission in carrying out those functions, (3) The Chief Counting Officer must provide the Commission with such information as they 20 may require for the purposes of the report. (3A) In preparing the report, the Commission must consult such persons as they consider appropriate. (4) On laying the report, the Commission must publish the report in such manner as they may determine. 25 (5) In the 2000 Act, in schedule 1, in paragraph 20(1) (report on Electoral Commission’s functions), the reference to the Commission’s functions does not include a reference to the Commission’s functions under this Act.
