Other new and altered motions and amendments *S5M-04974 Ivan McKee: RBS Branch Closure, Alexandra Parade, Glasgow That the — Parliament expresses its concern over the recent announcement by the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to close a significant number of branches across the country, including the branch on Alexandra Parade, Glasgow; notes that this branch is the last bank left on that street and is heavily relied upon by many people and businesses in the area; understands that RBS's own figures suggest that 61% of branch customers are choosing to use digital banking, which means that more than one third are not; considers this proportion to be significant, and calls on the bank to protect the interests of customers who do not, or cannot, avail themselves of online services by reversing this decision to close this and the other branches.
