To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to help resolve the current dispute between pharmaceutical companies and community pharmacists that has resulted in the rationing of supplies of some prescription medicines to community pharmacists ostensibly to prevent exports of medicines.
However, the statement,“make charges for access to the collections”,in paragraph 11(2)(m) is very wide. I seek an assurance that that will not start off fairly narrowly and broaden over a period of time.

To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with the Scottish Medicines Consortium regarding the prescribing of antipsychotic medication in care homes.
I know that we are tight for time, but I want to turn to the Government-initiated Scottish graduate entry medicine programme. Although it aims to boost rural GP numbers, it has delivered only two trainee doctors in the Highlands since 2016.
For example, because we have an ageing population, we are seeing an increase in pressure in relation to medicines. There has been 12 per cent growth in the cost and volume of drugs, which is the second-highest area of spend after our workforce.
An example of that involves veterinary medicines. One of the 570 regulations that are being considered by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs concerns veterinary medicines.

Levonelle One Step, which may be bought in a pharmacy, is classified as a pharmacy (P) medicine. As with other pharmacy (P) medicines there is no requirement for a record to be kept of such purchases.

To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with the Scottish Medicines Consortium regarding the prescribing of antipsychotic medication to people with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
I do not know whether this question is for Miles Bonfield—you can decide between you—but I am interested in the recent attacks on M&S. David Keenan quite rightly outlined the investment that is needed by companies, but, in the case of M&S, it was reported to be a simple breach.
