Targeted pandemic-level response is needed to address the energy bills crisis, says Holyrood’s Net Zero Committee

Financial implications
Whilst the modification to the 2008 Act remains in force, the PM explains that alternative financial assistance for those people self-isolating due to COVID-19 for those on low incomes is being provided through the Scottish Government’s Self Isolation Support Grant (SISG) administered by local authorities using the Scottish Welfare Fund statutory guidance. Parents and carers of those who are under 16 and are notified to self-isolate are also currently eligible to claim the SISG.
