(S3O-12008) Chartered town planners, including those who hold membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute, are required to act with the impartiality that is demanded by their professional code of conduct. Town planners who are civil servants also observe the high standards of impartiality that are required by the civil service code.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to review the Code of Conduct for Councillors. We are currently consideringthe best time to review the code in light of experience gained to date in the operationof the code.
