It is the councillor''s personal responsibility to ensure that he/she acts at all times in compliance with the provisions of the Councillors'' Code of Conduct. The Standards Commission for Scotland is the body responsible for the enforcement of the Councillors'' Code of Conduct and will investigate any alleged breaches of the code.
