There are cuts throughout the country and not just in Glasgow, and it is unreasonable to state otherwise. I do not accept Robert Brown’s proposal that we could bring the regulations back within a few days with the Glasgow situation omitted.
I will attempt to deal with some points that were raised during stage 1 and allay concerns that Mr Brown and Mr Harvie expressed. Legitimate points were made.
I will ask Mr Ewart to answer the first part of Mr Brown's question shortly. My recollection of Mr Ewart's evidence is that he said that the figure was not a target and that it was"not a line in the sand … but an indicator".
