For all that we may have written down what was said, it would have been useful the following day to check what was said. It was more than a number of days until the report was available.
Might people get a communication that tells them to pay within seven days and, if that does not happen, a follow-up letter that tells them to pay in the next seven days?
We and others—local authorities—can plan well in advance, because there are many children with conditions that follow a similar pattern and for whom resources will follow the same pattern.
There is no point in investing in residential treatment or, indeed, day treatment and counselling if we do not follow through with halfway houses or after care.
