A few moments ago, we talked about liaison with UK colleagues. We have a good deal of regular official dialogue about research provision and funding with the Office of Science and Technology, and 12 per cent of the UK research councils' funding comes to Scotland, which contrasts with our 9 per cent of the UK population.
