I do not know what has been said so far, but I am sure that the pupils and their teacher will have spoken effectively in support of their petition.As I remember, the gathering of information in support of the petition involved the whole school. Many of the parents are involved in the working life of the school.

That is a bit heavier than a voluntary arrangement. I agree that many of the proposals are administrative rather than legislative, but there is an element of compulsion and direction dressed up in them.
