The Government is increasing investment in electronic monitoring, and the budget has had a 10 per cent uplift, meaning that an additional £500,000 has been put into the budget. Graham Robertson may have more to say on the details of the contract.
SG RESPONSE The Scottish Fiscal Commission’s May 2025 publication forecast that the number of people getting Carer Support Payment would increase from around 105,000 in 2025/26 to 120,000 by 2030/31.
This commission is scheduled to complete by May 2025 and will be fed back to the Chief Scientific Officer to agree any additional work to be undertaken.
