The British Red Cross, with Baker McKenzie, surveyed 251 firms across the UK that were providing legal aid. In Scotland, we contacted 27 firms to find out about their provision of legal aid.
In the year to date, we have been contacted twice; those cases are still working their way through, and we will report on them in the annual report for the current financial year.
We have operating protocols in place with rail and bus services so that there are contact points and we know when late-arriving trains or buses will arrive.
