We have welcomed 130 groups from primary schools, 232 groups from secondary schools and 10,000 individual pupils through the official visits programme of the Parliament. There have also been many self-guided tours. The Scottish youth parliament was launched in 1999 and has attracted some 150 members from among young people in the 14-to-25 age category.
