I have not put in front of the committee, and have not seen, evidence that is categorised in terms of numbers of patient beds and weeks of in-patient care.The wider question is to do with the consequent cost to the health service and the country at large of a deterioration in the condition of those people, which has an impact not only in terms of admissions to hospital but in terms of days lost at work and so on. I would say that the figure is hard to quantify or put a value on.
