However, as we have heard, there is no shortage of land for housing in most crofting areas, although there may be planning constraints. The Scottish Crofting Foundation has made it crystal clear that crofts are for crofting and houses are for housing.

Have you had the opportunity to investigate private sector housing that is being provided for people who are doing such work? They may be employed by gang masters or agencies and may be using unregistered houses in multiple occupation and so on in different parts of Scotland.
