We do not want the add-women-and-stir approach to policy mainstreaming; we want a return to the approach that I was told to take at school of showing the workings in the margins.In terms of presentation, there should be case studies or worked examples of priority areas across spending departments, to follow the flow of Government statements, the principal policy platforms and the programmes that follow from them.
