The current rules in Standing Orders on Members’ Bills include three criteria that must be satisfied before an MSP who has lodged a final proposal gains the right to introduce a Member’s Bill.
Role of the Electoral Commission
The Bill provides the Electoral Commission with responsibility for promoting public awareness and understanding of each referendum in Scotland.
