This scheme has operated successfully since 2016, with over 450 homes purchased to date. Recognising the increasing pressures facing housing and homelessness services, the Council expanded its existing scheme in late 2023 to allow for more opportunities to purchase homes directly from owners, including private landlords and those with empty properties.
