Will the First Minister consider a review of legislation to ensure that such operations are not located in such public areas and will he ask his minister to come to Johnstone to meet me and relevant agencies to discuss a way forward? I am certain that Keith Brown and the Deputy First Minister would be happy to arrange a meeting to discuss the matter.
In particular, we will write to the Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond, and to Keith Brown. There is, of course, an argument about power being delegated from Westminster to the Scottish Government.
I certainly had plenty of time to take many breaths during Mr Brown’s extensive and rather rambling question.On the quotation to which the member refers, the Government was giving a clear explanation of the context of the arguments surrounding fiscal devolution.
