We would expect a Scottish Government motion for debate to be made following summer recess, subject to parliamentary business.
A new approach to asking parliamentary questions was introduced in 2023. At the end of summer recess, the Presiding Officer wrote to all Members to set out time limits for asking and answering questions in the Chamber.
