Before I invite Jackie Baillie to contribute, I will say that I have raised the mesh issue, particularly with regard to the two reports by the late Professor Alison Britton, which were commissioned by the Scottish Government, and the First Minister offered to meet me. There will be tricky trade-offs, but as long as we look at what will grow the economy at a time when the UK has been in recession, I would have thought that saner heads will bear fruit in coming up with a solution that accepts those trade-offs but produces a trade agreement that is better news for the British economy.
This builds on the existing UK SHORE programme which has to date supported the sector with £240m over the last 3 years to develop clean maritime technologies.

Social Security Scotland will highlight the date that the majority of payments are expected to be made by and encourage people to get in touch if they have not received the payment, but think they are eligible.
Hydrogen – The Committee asked for a breakdown of how the hydrogen action plan funds have been spent to date, detailing allocations by project and any remaining funds.
However, a 2030 target date aligns with the Fairer Scotland Action Plan and other Scottish Government action including taking forward the recommendations of the Widening Access Commission, which itself sets 2030 targets.
These are based on what we have heard a strategy should focus on, through our research and engagement to date, to improve the lived experiences of Scotland’s disabled young people as they make the transition to adulthood.
