To ask the Scottish Executive whether all contracts and assignations between it and other parties should be signed and dated. It is standard practice for Scottish Executive contracts to be in writing and to be signed and dated.
We have discussed previously the issue of the cut-off date for members' bills—we thought that it was for the Parliament in the new session to work out its salvation in that regard.
For that reason, I ask the committee to agree today to invite Trevor Jones to appear before us and to flag up that we will ask him to appear on one of the two available dates in May. We can confirm the date nearer the time.
