How would we establish a temporary convener if, during the recess, when a lot of work was being done, the convener were to walk under a bus or get hit by a golf club and were incapacitated?
We ought not to discuss the matter further. If a hearing date has been fixed, we would be in breach of standing orders if we proceeded—there is no question about that.
I have discussed the issue with Historic Scotland and tried to get a date for the hearing of the appeal that has been lodged, but we have not been able to ascertain that date.
