Pending receipt of a response from the Scottish Government and an update on possible amendments to the Bill, the Committee is not currently in a position to take a view on this LCM and may report further on these matters at a later date.
PE1856: Support the taxi trade
Petition by Pat Rafferty on behalf of Unite calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to protect the future of the taxi trade by:
providing financial support to taxi drivers;
setting up a national stakeholder group with trade union driver representatives; and
reviewing low emission standards and implementation dates
This petition was received after the cut-off point for consideration by the Session 5 Committee ahead of dissolution.
