To ask the Scottish Executive on what date it intends to publish a new eHealth strategy as stated on page 62 of Better Health, Better Care: Action Plan.
Can the minister provide an update on that project and give an assurance that every step possible is being taken to meet that completion date? If possible, will he give an estimate of when construction work will begin?
His seal was the St Andrew’s cross and it dates from 1286. The bishop’s effigy is in Glasgow cathedral and, as a Glasgow MSP, I am very pleased to speak to the petition.
We all are agreed that the cost of alcohol is key in terms of consumption levels and yet to date no credible alternative proposals for tackling the low cost of alcohol have been put forward.The total cost of alcohol misuse is estimated at £3.56 billion per year in Scotland.
The committee wants to keep the petition open and we will explore the points that have been raised by Nanette Milne, Nigel Don and John Scott. We will keep him fully up to date on the next stage. I thank him for his attendance this afternoon.
Will he set a target for the publication of the national waste plan for zero waste? Does he have a date for that yet? Bill Aitken raises an important issue, and I agree with the sentiments behind the question and those echoed by the chap he referred to.We have the zero waste plan, which we are going to publish in the next month or two.
Does she regret that of the £15 million of match funding for the scheme that the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth promised in February, to date only around £0.75 million has been forthcoming?
