Parliamentary Recess Dates: The Minister for Parliamentary Business (George Adam), on behalf of the Parliamentary Bureau, moved S6M-02666—That the Parliament agrees, further to motion S6M-00125 and under Rule 2.3.1, that the parliamentary recess dates of 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022 (inclusive) be replaced with 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022 (inclusive) with the exception of 29 December 2021 and 5 January 2022, on which dates business may be programmed by the Bureau.

However, Scottish Ministers are taking action to end the practice of detaining children in Young Offenders’ Institutions as soon as possible, having identified the earliest point at which delivery agencies and partners could safely deliver the change.
