Published waiting times statistics are based on the most up-to- date status of data extracted from local systems and submitted by NHS boards to ISD each quarter.
Much of the work will be complex and technical in nature and will involve topics to which the Scottish Parliament has given limited scrutiny to date because they have been matters reserved to the EU.
Police Scotland refers to a possible figure of 5,000, dating back to 1964. Can you comment on what you think is realistic and on the difference between the two figures?
