To ask the Scottish Executive for what reason the compulsory date for support workers in adult care homes to register with the Scottish Social Services Council was set at 30 September 2015.

In the first debate, which I secured immediately after the Parliament returned from the Christmas recess, there was a clear consensus that we should debate the subject more often.
We will consider the Government’s response at the committee’s first meeting after the recess that we are about to go into, and then conclude our stage 1 report.
