The role of senior officials in the decision-making process was queried in correspondence dated 15 March 2022 from the House of Lords Common Frameworks Scrutiny Committee:
We were confused by the framework’s description of the decision-making process, particularly the role of senior officials.

We note that the Westlaw version of section 3(5A) of the Tax Credits Act 2002 is showing an out of date version of the provision that does not include people who are in a same sex marriage or an opposite sex civil partnership.
Review Stage
Periodic review: the operation of the framework will be reviewed at six months, one year and three years from the date it comes into operation. Thereafter, a periodic review will take place every three years.
