This is our final meeting before the summer recess. The committee’s next meeting will take place on Tuesday 2 September 2025, and further details of that meeting will be published towards the end of August.
First, I would say that expecting an MSP to attend just once in 180 days is not a big ask. Obviously, once recess days are factored in, the period will be much longer; it will be more than 200 days, I imagine, in which an MSP will be expected to attend once.
The bureau will continue to monitor the situation closely and daily, not just in the remaining two weeks of the parliamentary term but in the recess, when Parliament can be recalled as required.
